Special Projects |
As the Steet Rods hit Syracuse streets this summer and every car enthusiast, young and old, male or female dreams of a car they had or of one they wish they could have, know that we can make it happen! Our web site has been enhanced to show current cars under construction. Call us as some are For Sale. Check back often for updates and additions. You are welcome to visit in person, please call first.
Whether your dream is to own a Custom, Rod, Muscle Car, Bike, Antique or even a sleeper, we have the ability to find the car of your dreams and build it your way. With 50+ years of know-how we’ve seen projects that range from mild to wild. We recently attended the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale on a buying trip. Contacts were made so we can obtain the car you want and build it to your specs or anything in-between. We are always searching for interesting cars to buy and will always take the time to talk about your special project. We would be honored to assist you with your project.
With the growing interest in Muscle Cars and Street Rods, we are often called on to participate in projects where paint and body top off major investments. Many of the restoration projects we complete involve the vehicle owner. Many project car owners will complete the tear down and inventory, research and purchase of parts. They may rebuild their own engines and interiors and leave the body, paint and frame restoration to us. We are glad to assist you in any way you wish.
Every year we look for new products. In 2000, a Rustbuster® Spray welder, was added; visit www.rustbustersllc.com to see a live demo of this amazing metal restoration process. We are actively pursuing powder coating vendors, and media blasting equipment of various types and vendors for hard to find parts.
For over 50 years Nick Orso’s has turned out some of the most outstanding custom work in Central New York. We are proud supporters of the Corvette Club of Central New York, The Porsche Club of CNY, The Syracuse Shelby Club, and Vintage Thunderbirds of CNY. Over the years members have turned to Nick Orso’s for not only for collision repair, but restoration of their precious baby when the goal is show-winning quality. Whether you intend to cruise proudly, attend local meets, visit the Hot Haus, or your car is destined for the Collier Museum, choose Nick Orso’s.
Call us to review your needs today.

Nick Orso's was included in Vette Magazine as One of the "Best Shops in America." When Vette magazine did a Special on the best restoration shops in America the Syracuse Corvette Club Members sent in photos of cars restored and painted at Nick Orso's. We were featured in a multi-page lay-out in the magazine and to this day receive calls asking us to restore cars for local and national show award status. Call us today to see if your project can become part of the Nick Orso family of prize winning cars. |

10/7/06, Wanted to share the photos from our most recent trip with you. Fleet Week in SanFrancisco. Here are the Blue Angels performing over San Fransisco Bay. What a spectacular sight! Our tax dollars hard at work. After 2 weeks in California visiting family and a stay in Yosemite Park, my last 24 hours was incredible. Business took me from Sacramento to Reno-Tahoe area and the already snowy 7500-foot mountains. Saturday I then drove back to Sacramento, met the family and then got on a Ferry to San Francisco Bay. About a 7500-foot difference in elevation! Arriving in SF, we went from Pier 1 to Pier 39 on a bus and trolley car to see the Air Show. After the show it was back to Pier 1 from 39, got on Ferry back to Velejho. Drove to Sacramento Airport and flew to JFK. Touching both oceans in 24 hours! Then home to Syracuse. |

This new arrival was brought to us for partial participation. The owner disassembled the car and completed a frame-off restoration. The frame was sandblasted and the engine and transmission were rebuilt. All the underbody work is complete. The body was stripped of trim and paint was blocked. It is ready for a sprayable bodyfiller to level and seal the existing finish. As the project progresses, the body will be primed and blocked as needed until it is ready for the top coat of Goodwood Green. Our goal is to paint and assemble the body panels. The owner intends to complete the trim and chrome installation. |
